South Western Railway (SWR) has announced changes to its timetable for Autumn.
The changes will come into effect from Sunday, September 22, to Saturday, December 14.
SWR has confirmed there will be minor timetable changes to the Southampton to Portsmouth service – via Netley – as well as the Weymouth to London Waterloo route, that sees trains stop at Southampton Central, Southampton Parkway, and Ashurst.

In a statement, a spokesperson for SWR said: “We operate an autumn timetable in response to leaf-fall season.
“This is when wet leaves fall on the rails and are then crushed to a slippery pulp, meaning trains need more time to safely accelerate and brake.”
“In most cases, trains will depart their origin stations one minute earlier than usual.
“A small number of train times will change by up to five minutes, for example, the 5.55am service from Weymouth to London Waterloo will depart at 5.50am.
“Journey planners are now up to date so please check your journey and make a note of the new departure times.”
