A man is due in court accused of more than £40,000 worth of doorstep fraud.
Paul Tapp, 41, is expected to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court today to face two allegations of doorstep fraud.
He is charged with making a false representation to a man in his 80s in Fareham.
It is alleged that he told the man the guttering at his home needed replacing and carried out work with the intent of making a £36,000 gain between June 27 and June 29, 2022.
He is also charged with making a false representation to a woman in her 60s between June 27 and June 29, 2022, in Horndean.

Tapp is accused of telling her that roofing work was required at her home and carrying out work with the aim of making £5,500.
