Virgin Voyages' latest ship has arrived on the Hampshire coast for its first UK-based season.

Following a summer navigating the Greek Isles, Resilient Lady arrived in Portsmouth International Port on Friday last week - just in time for Victorious Festival.

The 912ft-long ship set off from the Hampshire port midway through Brighton-based DJ Fatboy Slim's set at Victorious Festival on Friday night.

The giant letters on the side of the newest ship in the Virgin Voyages’ fleet spelled out the nickname for the city in the colours of the local football team.

Shane Riley, vice president of UK and international sales at Virgin Voyages said: "We’re back in British waters once again, this time with a variety of short cultural stints and sunny adventure sailings to help Sailors escape the British weather.

"We first set sail from Portsmouth on our maiden voyage back in 2021, so we’re delighted to return this September and October."

The vessel will embark on a series of late-summer voyages to varied destinations including Amsterdam, Bruges, and Lisbon.

Resilient lady follows in the wake of her sister ships, Scarlet Lady and Valiant Lady, returning to Portsmouth International Port, where the brand first set sail in 2021.

The voyages will encompass the cultural gems of Amsterdam and Bruges, as well as the scenic shores of Lisbon, Bordeaux, and Casablanca, before culminating in Ibiza.

Additionally, Virgin Voyages is relaunching its Virgin Celebration Voyage, with the presence of Sir Richard Branson, Boy George, and Virgin Galactic astronauts set to attend exclusive onboard events.

The company will also host its first-ever Comedy Festival in mid-September with a line-up designed to provide amusement at sea.

Until October, Resilient Lady will undertake three- to six-night roundtrip getaways, along with a 12-night adventure to Barcelona.

Opportunities include exploring the famous nightlife of Amsterdam with an overnight call, linking historical ports Portsmouth and Bruges, Belgium, or experiencing a sun-soaked six-night voyage exploring the coast of Spain.

A comedy festival voyage takes sailors through Amsterdam and Bruges, headlined by comedian Russel Howard.

As part of a 12-night sailing from Portsmouth to Spain and Morocco, sailors will have the opportunity to explore Lisbon, Ibiza, Casablanca, and Málaga.

An expected highlight is the return of the Virgin Celebration Voyage, which sees influential figures like Sir Richard Branson gracing the ship amidst exclusive events.
