In a breakdown of the outlook for the bank holiday weekend, the Met Office wrote: "Further rain on Saturday morning clearing to sunny spells and showers, perhaps heavy. Largely dry and bright Sunday and Monday. Temperatures rather cool."
Southampton is likely to have better weather than large swathes of the UK over the weekend though, due to Storm Lillian being named by the Met Office.
Large sections of Scotland, the north of England and north Wales are expected to face heavy rain and strong winds on Friday (August 23) going into the weekend.
