A young motorcyclist who died in a crash on a busy Hedge End road has been named by the coroner.
Brandon Fielder, of Fowler's Road, Hedge End, died after the crash on Heath House Lane, at the junction with Barnfield Way, on July 28.
Mr Fielder, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Winchester Coroners' Court yesterday (Thursday, August 8).
The inquest opened atThe inquest heard that he was riding his motorbike on Barnfield Way and lost control, crashing into an oncoming vehicle.
The cause of death was given as multiple injuries.
Area coroner Jason Pegg adjourned the inquest to be held on August 11 next year.
Mr Fielder's death sparked a large emergency response and a police appeal for witnesses.
Floral tributes were laid at the place where he died, including bottles of Budweiser and cans of Stella Artois.
Calls were also made for the speed limit on Barnfield Way to be lowered from 40mph to 30mph.
