A Katie Hopkins performance at The Concorde Club in Eastleigh has been cancelled.
It had been advertised that the the former columnist turned media personality was due to take to the stage at the entertainment venue tonight at 9pm.
But a spokesperson for the club has now said: “Tonight’s event has been cancelled and we’re in the process of getting hold of customers who purchased tickets to let them know.”
Hopkins’ outspoken views have attracted controversy and media scrutiny.
The controversial speaker had a similar event cancelled in the New Forest in October 2023, after Lyndhurst Community Centre discovered the former Apprentice contestant had been booked to speak at a ‘speakeasy.’
Following the cancellation of her performance at The Concorde Club, a representative for Katie Hopkins said: "This ghost event came about as a mix-up between Katie’s booking agent and the venue; I think assumptions were made but Katie never agreed to this show, although she is keen to perform at the Concorde Club on a future date.
"It was only discovered this show was scheduled about three weeks ago and we highlighted the error immediately."
They added: "Katie hasn't promoted this show on any of her channels as she did not realise.
"Her forthcoming UK mini tour ’TRUE’ in October does feature a show down the road at the Hamworthy Club, Wimborne."
