A solicitor has raised money for a charity by completing an abseil.
Huw Miles, Managing Partner of Paris Smith, successfully abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower.
His daring act aimed to raise funds for the firm's Charity of the Year, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Mr Miles drew inspiration from a shared sense of purpose with friends and colleagues, which led him to face his fear of heights.
The 170-metre high Spinnaker Tower, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour, bore witness to Mr Miles' charitable feat.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is a community essential, providing quick response emergency medical aid.
Entirely dependent on donations for its operations, the amount Mr Miles' raised could potentially afford a top-tier flight helmet, thereby ensuring the safety of their lifesaving crews during their crucial rescue missions.
Mr Miles said: "Taking part in this abseil was both thrilling and deeply rewarding. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance performs life-saving work and it’s an honour to support them in any way possible.
"I'm immensely grateful to everyone who has donated so far and encourage those who haven’t yet to visit our JustGiving page and contribute to this worthy cause."
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance director of income and engagement Keith Wilson said: "We are so thankful to Huw Miles and the team at Paris Smith for their support and extraordinary efforts, not just for this event but the partnership across the year.
"People in our community going above and beyond like this are critical in helping us keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives across the region 365 days a year."
