Motorists have been warned with a busy road in Sholing set to close overnight tonight.
Spring Road will close northbound to drivers while carriageway defect repairs take place.
The road closure will come into effect from 7pm tonight until 6am tomorrow.
Southampton Travel – Southampton City Council’s highways partner – has warned the closure will affect the road between Freemantle Common and Peartree Avenue.

In a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, a spokesperson said: “Carriageway defect repairs to take place along Spring Road (northbound) overnight, Monday, August 5, 7pm to 6am.
“There will be a northbound road closure on Spring Road between Freemantle Common and Peartree Avenue. Traffic diversion route will be signed.”
