You could say it's hot enough to fry an egg - and that is actually what a Daily Echo Camera Club member decided to do.
Yen Milne wanted to make the most of the sweltering heat yesterday by trying the ultimate test of whether an egg would fry in the pan purely with the heat of the sun.
Temperatures hit 30C with a real feel of 31C - making it as hot as Croatia, according to weather reports.
The Met Office said that the warm temperatures were "likely to meet heatwave criteria in the coming days" in some places in England and Wales.
She dug out the pan and cracked the egg into it and left it in her back garden in Fareham.
The pictures show the results with the albumen of the egg turning white.
They were shared on the Daily Echo Camera Club's Facebook page.
