A driver has avoided points or a driving ban after he was caught speeding in a Lexus.
Brian Ramsden, 88, was sentenced after he was caught exceeding a 30mph limit on the A26 London Road in Southborough Kent.
Ramsden, of New Road, Swanmore, was caught by an automatic camera on August 24, 2023.
Earlier this month he pleaded guilty to speeding at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
The court heard how a driving ban would impact his health and his ability to get to cancer appointments.
He was fined £198 and must pay £110 court costs and a £79 surcharge.
This must be paid in full by August 8.
Ramsden did not receive any points on his licence or a driving ban.
