STEWART CHALK, 40, of Burgoyne Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to theft from a shop after he stole £31.50 worth of Ferrero Roche chocolates from Morrisons in Southampton. Chalk was given a six-month conditional discharge and must pay £31.50 compensation.
CHRISTOPHER CRIPPS, 41, of no fixed abode admitted to theft from a shop after eight bottles of red wine and a pack of Desperados were stolen from Sainsbury's. The value of the stolen goods was £76.60. Cripps was fined £80 and must pay £50 court costs.

HUGH MCLEAN, 67, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class A, namely crack cocaine in Padwell Road, Southampton. He was found guilty of possessing a sharp-pointed article in a public place after he was found with an axe in Lodge Road. Mclean received a one-year community order with 15 days of rehabilitation activity and 100 hours of unpaid work. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs and the axe. Mclean must pay £320 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
AIDEN COLLINS, 25, of Appleton Road, Totton was found guilty of drink driving on Spring Road, Southampton. He was caught in a Volkswagen Polo with 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of his breath. Collins was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £461. He must also pay £620 court costs and a £184 surcharge.
JACKIE SKINNER, 53, of Burgoyne Road, Southampton admitted to assault by beating on Burgoyne Road. Skinner received a one-year community order with 10 days of rehabilitation activity and a £100 fine. The 53-year-old was ordered to pay £40 court costs plus a £114 surcharge and was excluded from entering parts of Burgoyne Road, Thornhill for three months.
