CCTV footage has been released by police after jewellery, a purse and a hedge trimmer were stolen from a house in Southampton

The force has released a photo of a man after a break-in at a property in Amoy Street on Saturday, June 22. 

The incident took place between 7pm and 7.30am the following day with jewellery, a purse and a hedge trimmer stolen. 

The occupant of the house was not at home at the time.

Now officers are asking anyone with information to come forward. 

A spokesperson said: "We have been carrying out an investigation into the burglary and now have this image of a man, who was seen in the area around the time the crime is thought to have taken place, who we think may have information to assist our enquiries."

The man is described as aged between 35 and 45, white, of average build, with short dark hair, shaved at the sides. 

He was seen wearing navy tracksuit bottoms, blue trainers and a light grey top with dark grey arms.
