Police have delivered an update on their investigation after CCTV showed a car smashing through the wall of a home.
Officers have attended Sunset Road in Totton in recent days, after the garden wall of Edward and Pauline James was knocked over at around 2.20am on June 30.
The pensioners said the damage may cost up to £10,000 to fix.
CCTV footage showed a vehicle pulling up and reversing into the boundary wall of a house, knocking it over.
The vehicle then sped off, leaving owners Edward and Pauline James, aged 92 and 88, feeling "really upset".

Police initially told the couple that they would not be investigating, citing insufficient evidence.
But now they have provided an update on the progress of their investigation.
In an update posted on social media, a Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "Following a report of a collision between a vehicle and boundary wall on Sunset Road last month, officers have been carrying out follow-up enquiries, including CCTV scoping, house-to-house visits and other evidence gathering.
"Officers have also visited the victim and offered further reassurance, safeguarding, support and advice.
"Enquiries continue and we’ll be sure to keep you all up to date with any developments on this one."
The couple were initially told that police wouldn't take any action as there was insufficient evidence, despite the CCTV footage.
Edward, a retired Polisher said: “I still want to cry now. I heard the door and thought who it was at the time of the morning.
“We both couldn’t go back to sleep afterwards. We just had a cup of tea.”
Edward and Pauline, aged 92 and 88, have lived in Sunset Road for over 60 years.
