Wacky Warehouse has launched its school uniform donation scheme for the second consecutive year due to national need.
Over the summer, parents can leave their unused or pre-loved uniforms at any Wacky Warehouse.
The uniform will then be donated to partner charities or schools which are nominated by each site.
This initiative was inspired by recent findings showing 45 per cent of UK parents will struggle with the cost of school uniform this year, spending on average £161 per child.
Wacky Warehouse marketing manager, Sam Simpson, said: "We also know how difficult it can be to afford school uniform and the back to school season, especially in the current economic climate amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.
"That’s why we’re delighted to relaunch our school uniform donation scheme for the second year running, following its huge success in 2023, when we saw 69 pubs collect thousands of items of uniform for those in need."
B&M have also joined the effort, launching a competition for families who donate unused uniforms, with prizes including gift vouchers for the winners' schools.
The ‘Donation Stations’ are open until September 2 across 65 venues including the Vine Inn in Romsey.
