A Hampshire-based damage remediation company won big at a prestigious award ceremony.
Vinci Response scooped the Sustainable Project of the Year Award at the 2024 British Damage Management Association (BDMA) Awards.
The BDMA sets professional standards for restoring properties affected by damage such as fire and flood.
The annual award recognises industry leaders for their exceptional service, innovation, and ethical practices.
Vinci Response, headquartered in Portsmouth, received significant praise for their innovative work at Barracuda Court in Hampshire.
The residential block in Gosport had severe condensation issues, leading to damp patches on the inner walls.
However, Vinci's external negative pressure drying system resolved the problem without relocating residents or necessitating extensive demolition.
The approach minimised disruption, waste, and resource use.
The firm was also the runner-up for the Setting the Standard Award.
Gavin Smith, chief executive officer of Vinci Response, said: "We are incredibly proud of our team's hard work and dedication, which have been recognised at the BDMA Awards.
"Winning the Sustainable Project of the Year Award and being acknowledged in other categories is a testament to our commitment to excellence, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
"Congratulations to everyone involved."
There's more to celebrate for Vinci Response.
The company’s technician, Ian Bell, received a commendation for his contribution to sustainable practices, under the ‘Damage Management Technician of the Year’ category.
Vinci Response was also the proud runner-up for the ‘Setting the Standard Award’, reflecting their 'unwavering commitment to professionalism, ethical behaviour, and a supportive work environment', the company said.
These honours come after Vinci Response’s recent achievement of BDMA Corporate Accreditation, bolstering their commitment to high service standards, continuous professional development, and ethical business practices.
With more than 70 years of combined experience, Vinci Response describes itself as a leading emergency response company providing specialist cleaning, decontamination and remediation solutions for commercial, industrial, and domestic customers.
