An extra £22.5 million is to be invested in roads across the county to fix potholes.
The cash, which will be spent in the next two years, up to March 31 2025, is on top of the £89 million that Hampshire County Council is spending on toughening up its roads.
In addition to fixing potholes, teams will also be applying new surface treatments to roads to make them last longer.
A spokesperson for the county council explained more about the work being done.
They said: “This involves spraying liquid bitumen onto the existing road surface and then spreading a thin layer of small stones on top.
"The stones are then pressed into the bitumen with heavy rollers. This process is called surface dressing and it helps protect the road and extend its life."
The spokesperson added: “The generally warmer, drier summer months is the best time to do this type of work, ahead of the cooler winter months when potholes are more likely to form due to rain and freezing temperatures.
“Visit our website www.hants.gov.uk/transport/highways or download the OurHants app to report any potholes to us directly so we can get on and fix them!”
