Police have shut down a flat after residents were subject to drug taking, assaults and even ‘faeces in the corridors and stairwells’.
Residents of Blake Court in South Street, Gosport, have faced ‘disgusting scenes’ related to a singular flat, said police.
Some residents were subjected to abuse and assault, and confronted with frequent drug dealing, drug use and intoxicated drug users passed out in the stairwells.
Those living in Blake Court often saw human faeces in the corridors and stairwells, along with drug paraphernalia littering the floor.
On Wednesday, July 17, police completely sealed shut the flat - preventing anyone from entering and disturbing other residents.
Previously, on April 24, Magistrates in Portsmouth granted a three-month Partial Closure Order for the address, following an application by Hampshire Constabulary.

This meant that, other than those who have a lawful reason to enter the address – such as the tenant, the police, emergency services – anyone else found to enter the property would be liable to prosecution.
Police added that officers have had to attend this address on a number of occasions to deal with continuous breaches of the Partial Closure Order.
This led police to apply for a Full Closure Order which was granted for three months by Magistrates on Wednesday, July 17.
This means that the flat is now sealed shut, prohibiting anyone from entering.
Inspector Sam Warne said: “Police teams in Gosport have carried out regular enforcement at this address to seize drugs and arrest suspects for drug use and supply.
"This is in addition to addressing the concerns of local residents around the repeated anti-social behaviour and disorder perpetrated by the individuals involved.
“This is one further step forward to restoring peace and normality to the lives of residents at this block, and ensuring the people causing misery cannot return to the address.
“As the Inspector for Gosport, I have continually promised to listen to the community and respond robustly to the people and places causing the most harm in our communities.
“Our efforts to stamp out drug-related harm, violence and anti-social behaviour in Gosport will not stop. Those responsible are simply not welcome – not in our town.”
