Two ‘clever pigs with great personalities’ are still looking for a new home.

Pigs Ada and Isla are two clever sisters in the care of the Stubbington Ark Animal Rescue Centre in Fareham.

The centre first advertised their appeal to find the porky pair some loving owners in May.

And the team is still looking for volunteers to rehome them.

The rescue centre described Ada as a 'sweet girl who loves being around people' and said Isla is 'full of personality and likes everyone to know she’s the boss'.

Casey, the Small Animal, Stock and Wildlife Lead at Stubbington Ark said: "Ada and Isla are so clever and have great personalities.

“When they first came to us here at the Ark they were scared of trusting new people, however over time, the training we have done with them has helped us to create a bond and earn their trust.

“They picked up the training so quickly and this helped us to health check them in a positive way without causing stress.

“They are so full of energy, and myself and the staff love coming to work every day to see their happy faces.”

Staff also said that potential owners will also need a CPH number for their land.

The rescue centre also said it may be able to help with transport of the pigs but to discuss this with the staff.

Ada and Isla cannot live with children as they can be unpredictable, however they could live with other pigs.

When first coming into the Ark, both swine would lunge for food and snap at the staff out of frustration.

However, Ada and Isla have settled well and through training sessions they are now much calmer and will step back and wait for their food.

Each day the pairs' behaviour is improving, the team said; Ada enjoys a back scratch but Isla still doesn’t like being touched and is working to trust the staff.

Both are fully vaccinated and have no current health concerns.
