A Hedge End chip shop owner has appeared on a BBC gameshow representing chip shop owners across the country.
Sonny Lee is the manager of JHenry’s Fish and Chips in Hedge End and has this week appeared on a BBC iPlayer and Youtube game show called Ranked.
Ranked puts five different chefs together, each representing different cuisines around the world, and their task is to rank themselves to each question.
The five contestants are given a question, such as ‘which cuisine is a total no-go for a first date?’ and they have to match their ranking with the public.

With Chinese, Turkish, Indian and Italian cuisines all being represented – Sonny was representing the British with his expertise in running fish and chip shops across Southampton.
Sonny told the Echo: “I felt very proud to be selected to represent the whole British food and the chippy sector on the show.”
