A Southampton road has been closed for works which are expected to last three weeks.
Canute Road has been closed on the eastbound direction at the junction of Terminus Terrace.
The busy road was closed to motorists on Friday - causing traffic chaos on surrounding roads.
Terminus Terrace, Platform Road and Town Quay were all congested due to the closure.
A diversion has been put in place via Terminus Terrace, Central Bridge, Albert Road North, Elm Terrace and Endle Street.
The closure is listed to take place from July 12 to August 2, with the diversion in effect "all the time", according to road works website one.network.
The works have been set up by Southampton City Council.
