A FORMER employee at a Romsey social club has taken over as manager.
Claire Fennelly has already stamped her mark on the Romsey Comrades Club, in South Front, with a meet and greet on Saturday, June 29.
Claire previously was an employee at the club and took on many roles including cooking and she said that food would be coming back with basket meals and Sunday roasts.
A very popular day was always the 555 Friday - this also is on the cards to be revamped and return soon.
The new manager said: “We have three bars, one for members that enjoy a quiet drink and the others showing sports, events and discos. Bingo every Friday is also a very popular evening.

“There is also a snooker room containing two full size tables for members over 14 years of age and a games room containing two pool tables and two dart boards.
“Entertainment of all types most weekends, with occasional special events. We are child and dog friendly, and have plenty of room for private functions/parties, wakes, christenings and weddings. You will always be greeted with warmth and a smile.
“We look forward to seeing you as we move from strength to strength.”
Romsey Comrades Club is a private members club. They welcome non-members with temporary membership available daily.
