RunThrough has unveiled the return of Southampton Running Festival next year.

Building on this year's earlier success, the organisers eagerly anticipate another day of exciting races, camaraderie, and community spirit amidst the serene Southampton Common.

Participants can look forward to a picturesque route that starts and ends at Southampton Common.

The course promises varied scenery, including woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes, and parkland.

Located in the city's heart, the area offers a unique mix of natural splendour and city convenience, making it a favourite green space among locals and tourists.

Southampton Common, recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is a preferred avenue for running, walking, and appreciating wildlife.

Matt Wood, co-Founder of RunThrough, said: "We are delighted to bring back the Southampton Common Running Festival for 2025. This event is a fantastic opportunity for runners to enjoy the natural beauty of Southampton Common while challenging themselves to achieve their personal bests.

"The common's diverse landscapes and vibrant community make it an ideal location for a running festival, and we look forward to welcoming participants of all abilities to join us for a day of fun, fitness, and camaraderie."

The event runs on June 15.

The Running Festival encourages runners of different levels, from seasoned athletes to new entrants. Multiple race categories ensure a place for everyone, fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Last year, RunThrough successfully organised 270 events involving 285,000 participants.

Their portfolio includes events like the Guildford 10k and Junior Race, the Frome Running Festival, and races at Kempton Park.

The team is set to repeat their past triumph with the upcoming festival in Southampton.
