Southampton Common will host Wessex Cancer Support’s Dog Jog - encouraging owners and dogs to support cancer sufferers.
The fun-filled event begins at 9am on September 29, with a fitness coach leading a warm-up before 2.5K and 5K runs from 9.30am.
Entry starts at £7.50 with attendees requested to raise at least £100, aiding the charity’s personalised wellbeing support.
Jess Marshall, Wessex Cancer Support’s events organiser, said: "Wessex Cancer Support provides invaluable wellbeing services in our local community and we know how much dogs can boost our mood, so the Dog Jog is a brilliant opportunity for people to come together with their canine companions for a bit of feel-good fun.
"There are two distances, so the event is great for children and adults alike as well as dogs of all sizes. Fancy dress is optional, but highly encouraged for all participants, and we hope to raise lots of money to support local people affected by cancer."
