Sunnybank House care home recognised Armed Forces Day 2024 with a unique 'Tea & Banter' event for veterans.
The residence, which houses several distinguished veterans, hosted the afternoon that brought together the wider military veteran community of Eastleigh.
Paul Burrows-Gibson, senior activities coordinator at Sunnybank House who arranged the Tea & Banter Afternoon said: "It was an honour to organise this and provide an opportunity for veterans living at Sunnybank care home and veterans from the wider community to come together and spend time over a cup of tea, catching up with memories from over the years."
The gathering culminated in the unveiling of the Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club, deemed the first of its kind in the UK.
Also announced was a new 'Butties & Banter Morning', set to take place on the first Sunday of each month, beginning at 10am on August 4.
It will enable veterans to meet monthly at the Eastleigh home to reminisce over chef-prepared refreshments.
