A shoplifter who stole several lamb steaks is now having to pay the price.
James Dempsey, 44, pilfered 10 lamb leg steaks from M&S in New Milton, valued at £67.50.
He admitted to the theft from the shop in Station Road on June 29.

Dempsey of Glenville Road, Walkford was remanded in custody and appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning.
He received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay compensation.
This is equivalent to the value of the items he stole.
