Four people have been rescued after a lifeboat was called to a stricken sports boat following an equipment failure.
The crew from RNLI Lymington Lifeboat raced to the scene of the incident near Hampstead Ledge on the Isle of Wight on Sunday, June 23.
The Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat was launched after the coastguard received reports of an equipment failure.
The lifeboat quickly located the 21-foot sports boat which had four people onboard.

The vessel had deployed its anchor but the crew were unsure if it was holding.
The boat was taken under tow due to its location and the fact that there were children onboard.
It was then taken back to Lymington.
Helm Declan O’Riordan said: “ The owner of the boat did exactly the right thing calling for help when they did as these situations can easily escalate.
"All 4 occupants were wearing lifejackets and they had a working VHF radio on board which was good to see.”
