A Hythe care home is set to host its own Olympic-style sports day for the community.
Care UK’s Carpathia Grange will be part of The Big Care UK Sports Day, on July 10, a nationwide initiative involving over 130 care homes.
Guests can participate in a variety of activities, including egg-and-spoon races, rounders, and wheelchair races.
England's Strongest Disabled Man 2024, Scott Endersby, will make a VIP appearance, and attendees can also enjoy a live singer and refreshments.
Home manager, Pooja Dhoot, said: "We’re delighted to be welcoming the local community to join our own sporting celebrations.
"The day not only promises a lot of laughter and enjoyment for all involved, but also is an excellent way for residents to meet and mingle with lots of new faces – and some familiar ones – while keeping active.
"We can’t wait until kick-off!"
The event aims to showcase what life in the care home is really like.
