A Southampton man has been arrested following a motorbike crash last night which resulted in a 13-year-old girl being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police were called to reports of an incident shortly after 5.45pm yesterday evening – Sunday, June 23 – off Porlock Road, Millbrook, which saw an air ambulance land in Test Park.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “A 13-year-old girl has suffered serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
“As part of our initial enquiries, we have arrested a 39-year-old man from Southampton on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, grievous bodily harm with intent and driving when alcohol level above limit.”

Hampshire Police confirmed that the suspect remains in custody at this time.
They added: “As part of our investigation, we want to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, particularly anyone with CCTV footage or dash cam footage from the area.
