Officers want to speak with two men after a £900 was stolen from a Go Outdoors store in Southampton.
The incident happened at the store in Third Avenue, just after 7.30pm on Friday, May 3.
Police said that two men entered the store and left with a £900 tent without paying, despite staff trying to intervene.
The first man is described as being between 25 and 35 years old, around 6ft tall, white, of large build, with short black hair and stubble.
He was wearing white trainers, black shorts and a black jacket.
The second man is described as being between 30 and 40 years old, around 6ft tall, white, of medium build, with slicked back brown hair.
He was wearing grey jeans and a grey puffer jacket.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Can you help us identify these men? If you recognise the men, please get in touch with us.
"Alternatively, you can submit information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or by going to their website.
"You can either call 101 or submit information via our website, quoting the reference 44240228939."
