A man has been arrested after a fight near a student accommodation block in Southampton on Friday night.
Scores of police officers descended on Canute Road in Ocean Village on Friday night after reports of a fight.
It happened near the Lucia Foster Welch block of student flats at around 10.50pm.
One witness said: "I have never seen so many police cars at once."
Now, Hampshire Police have confirmed to the Echo that a 29-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody having been arrested in Royal Crescent Road.
One person suffered cuts to his face and hand, police confirmed.
