A car has been dumped near a Southampton park after a fire in the early hours of this morning.
Crews from Redbridge were called shortly after 3am today to reports that a car was on fire in a field near Cherwell Crescent.
Firefighters rushed to the scene, near Green Park, and tackled the blaze using a hose reel.
The stop message came in just after 3.30am.
The fire service has said the cause of the fire is doubtful, and they have informed police.
Hampshire Police said the force has no record of the fire on its logs.
Pictures shared on social media show the red Toyota left burnt out on the Millbrook field.
There is severe damage to parts of the bodywork, with the bonnet warped and the insides gutted.
