A knife has been seized after two break-ins at properties in Southampton.
Police were called shortly before 4.40am this morning to a report of a burglary in progress at a property in Hill Lane.
Officers attended and arrested a 40-year-old man of no fixed abode.
A knife was seized as well as keys and sunglasses that were thought to have been stolen.
He was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possessing a knife or sharp-pointed article in a public place.

The man was also arrested on suspicion of a second count of burglary in connection with two incidents at an address in Waterloo Road.
The first incident was reported yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, June 18) and the second one is alleged to have taken place at around 1am this morning.
He remains in police custody at this time and investigations are ongoing.
