Primary school pupils have buried a time capsule containing letters and artwork.
Youngsters from Rownhams St John's CE Primary School joined forces with Rownhams Manor care home for the project - burying the capsule in their grounds.
The team at Rownhams also organised a timed scavenger hunt with pupils completing it in record time.
Jo Moroney, child and family support service at the school, said: “Our students had a fantastic time participating in the time capsule project at Rownhams Manor.
"It was a great opportunity for the children to learn about preserving memories for future generations.
"The scavenger hunt added an extra element of fun. We look forward to the next event."
The capsule will be opened in 50 years by future team members and residents of the home.
Sam Squibb, general manager at Rownhams Manor, said: "It was amazing to see the children from Rownhams St. John's CE Primary School so full of energy and creativity.
"Their contributions to the time capsule warmed our hearts, and the excitement during the scavenger hunt was just fantastic.
"We're so lucky to have such wonderful community partners, and we can't wait to work on more projects together in the future."
