A pub has been awarded a top hygiene rating.
The Crown Inn, in Fareham's West Street, has been handed five out of five.
This initiative benchmarks establishments such as clubs, restaurants, pubs, and takeaways against specific criteria concerning hygiene, structural condition, and management trustworthiness.
The Crown Inn was recognised for upholding excellent hygiene and highly effective food preparation management practices.
Pub manager Lucy Dempsey said: "We are delighted that we have gained the top rating and I’m sure our customers will welcome the news too.
"Standards of hygiene at the pub are of paramount importance.
"All of the staff work hard to ensure that the pub offers its customers the highest levels of hygiene at all time and we are delighted that our efforts have been recognised with a five-star rating."
