Two BMW drivers have been slapped with fines for speeding on a motorway.
The drivers were both clocked above the respective speed limits in force on sections of the M27.
Duncan Rennie, 51, was caught driving at 59mph while a 40mph limit was imposed near Hedge End.
He was behind the wheel of a BMW between junctions eight and seven when an automatic device caught him on August 17 2023.
Rennie, of Dollery Close, Botley, pleaded guilty to one count of exceeding a variable speed limit.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on June 3, he was handed a £384 fine and four points on his licence.

In a separate case, Jamie Mills, 44, was clocked driving at 89mph while a 70mph restriction was in place.
He was driving on the eastbound side of the M27 between junctions eight and seven when he was caught on March 22 of last year.
Mills, of Wimborne Road in Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to one count of exceeding a variable speed limit.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on June 5, he was slapped with a fine of £76 and three points on his licence.
He was also disqualified from driving for six months.
