A former Fareham mayor and councillor who represented Hill Head for more than 20 years has died.
On Wednesday, Fareham Borough Council announced the death of Alderman Arthur Mandry who died on May 14.
Alderman Arthur Mandry was a well-respected Fareham councillor representing the Hill Head ward between 1995-2018, during which time he served as Mayor of Fareham in 2001-2002.
Arthur also served as deputy leader of the council between 1999-2001 and again between 2002-2012.
A Civic funeral service will take place at Holy Rood Church in Stubbington at 1.30pm on Tuesday, June 18, for those who wish to pay their respects.

A spokesperson for the council said: “In recognition and acknowledgement of his eminent services to the council, he was invested to the roll of Honorary Alderman in 2018.
“The family have asked for family flowers only and any donations to be made to Parkinson’s UK.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Councillor Kay Mandry and all of Alderman Arthur Mandry’s family at this very difficult time.”
