Traffic lights at a busy city centre junction have been repaired, Southampton City Council has confirmed.
Last weekend the traffic signals at the junction of New Road and Above Bar Street were out of service due to an 'ongoing fault'.
This caused long delays for drivers on the surrounding roads such as Portland Terrace and civic Centre Road.
The authority has now stated that the traffic lights have been fixed and the temporary traffic lights will soon be removed.
The signals at the New Road/Above Bar junction have now been repaired and are working as expected, and the temporary signals will be removed tomorrow. Thank you for your patience at this time. @SouthamptonCC

This comes as thousands are set to decent on Southampton this weekend for the Take That concert at St Mary's Stadium.
Around 32,000 fans are expected at the chart-topping band's gig on Saturday, with a similar number expected on Sunday.
