Southampton City Council is warning drivers that they may face delays on bank holiday Monday as four cruise ships are docked in the city today.
MSC Virtuosa, Celebrity Apex, Regal Princess and AIDAprima are all birthed in Southampton today with increased traffic expected due to the number of cruise passengers in the city centre.
Thousands of cruise passengers are set to be in the waterfront area as another three cruise liners are expected to arrive in the city on Tuesday, including the Queen Mary 2.

The city council is warning drivers that they should plan ahead of their journey and expect delays particularly near the port.
This comes as a number of roads in the city are to be closed today to make way for a promotion party after Southampton beat Leeds at the Championship final play-off at Wembley yesterday, securing a spot in the Premier League.
These additional road closures from 10 until 6pm today are likely to cause additional delays for drivers.
