A Totton man who stole almost £300 worth of items during a shoplifting spree at Morrisons and Asda has been sentenced.
Joseph Daniel Arnold, 33, appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court today (May 23) after a number of incidents between March 6 and April 30.
He pleaded guilty to five counts of theft from a shop which took place at Morrisons, Spruce Drive and Asda, Maynard Road.
In total, £296.76 worth of items were taken.
Magistrates handed him a £120 fine and ordered him to pay £86.76 in compensation.
He was also given a community order and is subject to a rehabilitation activity requirement.
