A Southampton man has been arrested after a man was left with a suspected broken cheekbone in broad daylight in a Tesco car park.
Police officers rushed to the scene of the serious assault shortly before midday on Friday.
It was reported to police that several men were involved in the assault, which happened in the Fratton Tesco Extra car park on Fratton Way, Portsmouth, by the Waves Hand Car Wash.

It left the victim with a suspected fractured cheekbone.
Police have since arrested five men in connection with this incident.
Three of the men, 30, 36 and 48 from Portsmouth, and a 37-year-old from Southampton were arrested on Friday, and have been released on unconditional police bail, pending further enquiries.
A fifth man, aged 34 and from Portsmouth, was arrested on Saturday morning and remains in police custody at this time.
A police spokesperson called for witnesses to come forward: “Were you in the area at the time? Did you see what happened? Do you have any CCTV images, doorbell or dash cam footage that could assist our officers?
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 44240185053.”
