A cosy and welcoming waterfront pub run by two lifelong friends has been named the best pub in the region.
The Old Fort, in the Edwardian sailing village of Seaview on the Isle of Wight, fought off tough competition from across the South East for the National Pub & Bar Award.
It's now in the running for the national title at the grand final, due to take place in London in June.

The free house with fantastic food was taken over in 2020 by Will Simonds and Justin Evelegh. The pair have since won a host of awards.
Will said: “What an absolutely incredible honour this is. We are beyond chuffed.
"Our team's continued hard work, energy, drive and dedication have truly put us on the map and made us a true destination pub for locals and visitors alike.”
