A well-known wine preservation company is set to launch a World Wine Tour for a month at Chewton Glen.

Coravin will make exceptionally rare fine wines available by the glass in selected restaurants across the UK at half the price.

The tour begins on May 1 with month-long menus of in-demand wines.

Among the offerings are an ex-chateau release of one of the world’s best-known clarets, a boutique production of vintage Blanc de Blancs Champagne, a German wine, a Monopole single vineyard Barolo, and a special Tokaj wine from Hungary’s famous winemaker.

Prices will vary, depending on the venue, with 50ml tasters of certain wines available for under £20, and other wines priced more than £100 for a 125ml glass.

This World Wine Tour menu can be booked at any of the participating venues throughout May, with a second series set to follow in September.
