Police have arrested two suspects that they believe may be connected to a spree of thefts from shops and properties in Hedge End, West End and Netley.
A man and woman from Weston were arrested by police officers from Hedge End on suspicion of:
- Six shopliftings
- Two burglaries
- One theft from motor vehicle
- One other theft incident
Taking to Facebook to share the news of the arrest, an officer involved said: “Officers from Hedge End North Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested two people on suspicion of a number of offences.
“These offences had occurred in the Hedge End, West End, Netley and Southampton area.
“A number of items that were reported stolen during these incidents have been recovered from an address."
On Thursday, April 11, pair were remanded to appear in court in relation to the alleged offences.
