Fareham Borough Council has confirmed the return of the online Fareham in Bloom gardening competition, open for entries from May 6 until July 2.
This year marks the introduction of the Mayor's Gold Award, created to celebrate the Borough’s 50th year, in which the Mayor will select the top entry across all categories.
Other categories include Best Garden, Businesses and Schools, Something Small, Community, and Sustainable Garden.
Winners of Best Garden and the Mayor’s Gold Award will receive a subscription to the Council's Garden Waste Scheme and a £50 voucher for St Margaret’s Nurseries respectively. Winners of other categories will receive a £25 voucher and runners-up a £10 voucher.
The contest is open to all Borough residents and businesses, who will also receive a 10 per cent discount at St Margaret's Nurseries. The winners will be announced in September following judging in August.
Details on how to enter will be announced in May.
