A drunk man was seen acting aggressively towards people at a recreation ground.

Officers were called to Ewart Recreation Ground in Hythe earlier on Sunday.

This followed reports of a man with two dogs behaving in an aggressive manner towards members of the public.

He was located by officers in Hythe high street, and it transpired he was wanted for failing to appear at court in the Bristol area.

The man was arrested and transported to custody while his two dogs were taken to a relative’s address for safekeeping.
