A man has been charged with shoplifting after goods worth more than £1,300 were reported stolen from three stores at Westquay.
Police received reports that make-up and beauty products worth almost £800 had been taken from Marks & Spencer, £150 worth of whisky had been stolen from John Lewis, and candles and clothing worth £440 had been taken from Next.
Martin Manjinder Singh, 47, of Southampton Street, has been charged with four counts of theft from a shop.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 27.
