A strike at Southampton Airport has been called off after a pay deal was secured.

Industrial action by crew commanders, firefighters and multi-skilled technicians at Southampton Airport has been shelved after an improved pay offer of ten per cent was secured by Unite.

With the walk out due to begin this Friday, the union had been locked in negotiations with the airport - and secured the double digit increase of 10 per cent for 2023/24, with the increase backdated to January 1, 2023.

The pay deal also included an additional £1,500 one-off payment.
