An inquest has opened into the death of a man hit by a car at an Eastleigh car wash.
Lukasz Wojenkowski from Southampton was left fighting for his life after he was struck by a Range Rover Evoque at Car Wash Bay.
Following the incident at around midday on Sunday, January 21, the 35-year-old was rushed to hospital where he died two days later.
The incident led to the car wash being cordoned off by police.
The air ambulance was also called to the scene in Bishopstoke Road, but was not needed.
Mr Wojenkowski's death on Tuesday, January 23 sparked a manslaughter investigation.
An inquest into Mr Wojenkowski's death was opened at Winchester Coroner's Court on Friday.
Coroner Rachel Spearing gave a preliminary cause of death as a head injury caused by a road traffic collision.
The hearing was adjourned, with the full inquest due to take place on February 3 next year.
In a tribute, Mr Wojenkowski's family previously said: “Lukasz was a special person. Always smiling, joyful and full of life. What happened shocked all his family and friends.
“We as a family will demand justice. Unfortunately, nothing and no one will give us back our son, brother and uncle.”
As part of the police investigation, two men, aged 42 and 53, both from Southampton, were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
They have been released on bail.
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
He too has been bailed until April 21.
At the time, police were appealing for members of the public to come forward with any information or footage they may have which may help their investigation.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Elizabeth Brunt, said: “If you were in the area at the time and witnessed anything of the incident, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44240032079."
