A Hampshire man has been banned from the roads after he was almost double the drink-drive limit.
Jake Bainbridge, of Testlands Avenue, Nursling, was stopped on Wednesday, November 22 in Romsey Road, Southampton, a court heard.
Bainbridge, 28, was found to have 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 3 and was banned from driving for 14 months. This will be reduced by 14 weeks if he completes a course by September 24.
Bainbridge must also pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £200 and a fine of £500. This has to be paid by January 31.
