Fireworks are set to light up the skies of Southampton tonight as the city marks the departure of Cunard's flagship cruise ships.
Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will set sail this evening to the sound of a pyrotechnics show illuminating the skyline.
Drivers are being warned that the waterfront may be busy before and after the firework displays, which will take place between 6pm and 7pm.
Queen Victoria is travelling to Bermuda and Florida, whereas Queen Mary 2’s itinerary includes the Canary Islands, Namibia and South Africa.
With the cold snap sweeping across the city this week, onlookers are being reminded to “wrap up warm and take extra care when travelling”.
